Purring vs. Snoring

I had an epiphany last night. Somebody snores and I find it very difficult to sleep for the racket. There may be a CPAP machine in somebody's future. (Either that or I may move to the guest room.)

But last night Dylan, our new kitten, got in bed with us and snuggled up next to my ear. He purred so loudly that it drowned out the snoring. It was such a happy, comforting sound -- perhaps better than listening to the ocean. I went back to sleep soaked in happy purring.

So, why not, instead of a CPAP machine or other device, they figure out a way to turn human snoring into human purring? (Photo of Lily wearing Dylan as a purr hat.)

At the very least they could make a "purring" machine that you could keep plugged in next to your ear to blot out the snoring.
