Got the hearing aids fixed. No charge. "Your father rides me pretty hard," said the audiologist. "I know I'd better get these working." The audiologist even left a lady in the chair, waiting, while he fixed the hearing aids.
The dermatologist put Lily on an oral drug and Retin-A. She also gave me a discount card on the oral drug. Good thing! A 30-day supply is $500! (And the Retin-A is $170.)
How can an acne drug for a teenager be $500? A $500 drug ought to prevent you from ever catching anything or having any health problems. You should never have to diet, go to the gym or get enough sleep if you are taking a $500 drug for acne when you are 12. You should also be guaranteed a high SAT score and a free ride to college.
Fortunately, between our insurance and the discount card, we could afford it. And if it works, we'll keep on affording it. But, have mercy! A $500 drug ought to keep your heart beating or something. Acne is distressing, but nobody ever died of acne.
Thank you, God, that we can give our daughter this. And that the only thing we need to give her expensive drugs for is acne.

Oh my goodness.....what I have to look forward!! Love the Blog...a whole new world that I can escape from the laundry/cleaning etc. thanks for that!!

Thanks for visiting, Angela! Come back and bring your friends.
But you'll be all ready for whatever's out there. You've got a good handle on your girls. And maybe they'll get lucky and not get acne!
I'm still thinking about Viki Courtney's "Your Girl." Thanks so much for introducing me to that.
